Raila Odinga: An enigma indeed- watch out he is our next president

We seem to understand Tinga very well and he has fought many wars and battles for himself and Kenyans and today we have to reward for the much he has done. Today he says Kalonzo has defected, tomorrow it is ... who has defected. He is a political operative and he has managed to isolate his arch-rival Kalonzo and defected to the original ODM.

The bitter bill to swallow is what happened to the ODM dream. Was there a dream in the first place? A true leader is one who has the interests of the people at heart.

I am not saying that Raila does not have the interests of the people at heart. He has of late just like Kalonzo an unstoppable anxiety to get to state house the soonest. The position his father highly coveted. Not that I value his support to overthrow the government nor do I castigate him.

Kenyans including myself need a Kenya with liberal democracy, multiparty, egalitarianism, social justice, rule of law, transparency and accountability.

A country devoid of tribalism, gerrymandering, balkanization, bigotry, corruption, blind and fanatical following of leaders lacking in integrity, mob psychology and inane emotional outbursts over non issues.

The biggest enemy of us is our real selves. We needed Kalonzo more than any other person to work together with Tinga. Guys like Ruto, and Musalia and Henry Kosgey would be acquitted by any court of law if they were charged with being of intergrity ever since they were born.

If u see all those around Raila, What new are they honestly bringing apart from the old tricks. Raila should that much as financial support is required some of his troops would make us laugh with a chagrin. ODM is therefore an empty shell. ODM-K too. No body here will protect the interests of the common man apart from self aggrandizements of themselves and sycophants.

Granted, Kibaki might still be roaming back for a second term because those advising Raila think Kalonzo has no people where people means all Kambas are not behind him. A very parochial, sectarian and pedestrian thinking.

This was a new dawn that never was for Kenyans to dethrone futile, autocratic, egocentric, kleptocratic and ill meaning hegemonies of Kenyatta and Moi.

I am mourning because Moi continues to rule and the tribalism and all the evils that were will be back. The killing of institutions, looting, idolization of individuals, balkanization and ethnicities of the country and insensitivity to the plight of the tax payer, insecurity, clashes, conspiracy with the church name them.

These evils have been perfected and copied word by word and sentence by sentence and practice by practice by Kibaki with his economic growth tautology and fame .He is a yawning liability to Kenyans. Every appointment currently have serious tribal undertones. The art perfected by moi. Albeit kibaki has outdone him in less that a sixth of his term.

If we shared a common dream, there would be more to bring us together than would separate us. Within the differences, we still could identify common interests and proceed to iron out the conflicting interests in the party.

Granted I support Raila for presidency for the above stated reasons but he should look back and tell off the looters behind him and retrace where the dream went to. This applies with equal force to S.K. Musyoka.

We cannot celebrate now . Eliminating Kalonzo or Raila leaves whichever party as an empty shell. Fortunately no much water has gone under the bridge.

I have the audacity of hope which never dies. A dream never dies. These big two come back to reason and look at the big picture and get out of captivity and bring a new dawn to Kenya as we exorcise the Moi and Kenyatta ghosts.

I reiterate that if Kalonzo and Raila truly had or still have the interests at heart of Kenyans They have a lot that bring us together. A NEW KENYA,WITH A NEW CONSTITUTIONAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DISPENSATION.

Else they will later on die desperate shells. Important in life is not positions but service and relationships.
